What has become of our hospitals?

The hospital experience for many of our sickest patients has become quite horrendous. Pushed by the need for "efficiency," hospital care has become an assembly line with a fast revolving door. People who do not quickly get better can face severe challenges. Read this indictment published recently by an academic physician who describes what her brother went through.
